Velofulness – A New Way of Cycling: Movement, Mindfulness & Nature
Velofulness is an Erasmus+ Small-Scale Partnership that combines cycling, mindfulness, and nature to promote mental well-being, social inclusion, and sustainable lifestyles.
The project encourages people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and enjoy cycling as more than just physical exercise. Through mindful cycling techniques, participants learn how to reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and strengthen their connection with the natural environment.
Velofulness primarily targets adults experiencing stress, burnout, or major life transitions, while also promoting inclusive participation through adaptive cycling activities for people with disabilities, seniors, and local communities.
Throughout the 18-month project, partners from Slovakia, Austria, and Poland will develop and implement a range of innovative activities, including:
- Mindful cycling workshops
- Community cycling events
- A 10,000 km international cycling challenge
- 24 educational videos promoting mindfulness through cycling
- A best-practice guide and final international conference
By bringing together physical activity, mental health, environmental awareness, and digital learning, Velofulness aims to inspire healthier, more connected, and more sustainable communities across Europe.
